Here’s all the exciting things that we will be learning this term. Please feel free to catch us and ask any questions you may have.
It’s been a busy few weeks for us in Reception with the children taking part in Balancability and Fun Factory which took place on Tuesday of this week. Balancability will continue to take place on Friday mornings with the children learning lots of bike riding skills, they have had fun so far!!
Since we started Term 5, we have been looking at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. The children have acted out the story (after we had embarrassed ourselves first by acting it out panto style, sorry no pictures) and been creating their own story maps to help them retell the story really well. Next week they will be writing the story themselves, we look forward to reading and seeing all the books they create.
Congratulations to Rylie, Chloie, Kenny, Lacey, Charlie and Logan for achieving their Golden Hedgehogs and Squirrels this week.
Congratulations to Riley, Sienna and Joseph for earning your Golden Hedgehogs this week.
Last week we celebrated Children In Need by decorating biscuits and wearing spots.
We also started to plant bulbs in the outside area in preparation for spring. The children really enjoyed getting muddy and are looking forward to seeing what grows.
The children had a fabulous time on their bear hunt this afternoon, they even managed to catch a big one! Shame it wasn’t quite the beautiful day we had originally planned for!
Thank you to the all the parents that came and joined us this morning to share a story with the children, it was a very successful first session and we look forward to you joining us again next week. The children all enjoyed having you join us and described it as a special time! Here are a few pictures to share with you
This weeks Golden Hedgehogs were awarded to Shyanna and Rory. Well done to you both!
We would like to wish everyone a happy and safe half term, we will see you on Monday 30th October to begin our new topic on Changes where we will start looking at day and night.
To end our mini topic on The Little Red Hen, the children made their own bread. They had great fun mixing and kneading the mixture and got quite messy in the process!!
