Final Learning Pack

Hello Year 3

Welcome to your last learning pack of the year. This time we have given you some fun activities to do, which will hopefully keep you busy into the holidays.

Despite the short time we spent together,  it has been a real privilege getting to know you all and we have thoroughly enjoyed our time as your teachers. We wish you continued success in Year Four.

We hope as many of you as possible make the last class catch ups this week as it would be great to see you all.

Until then, stay safe and take care

Hello Year 3

We hope this message finds you all continuing to be safe and well.

Sadly, it appears unlikely that we will all be getting back together again, before the summer break. Mr Houghton continues to teach the keyworker children and as of Monday, Mrs Hall will be teaching in Year 5. This will mean some adjustments on class dojo, however we are keen to maintain links with our own classes and would still like to see your work, so please continue to upload.

Please find enclosed your learning pack for this week.  We are continuing to use Oak Academy for our main learning, but there is also the BBC Bitesize  as well as the school workbooks, which I hope you have all managed to collect.

We will continue to keep you informed of any updates via dojo or this website.

Stay safe.

The Year Three Team

Home Learning 15th June

Hello Year 3

We hope you are all still safe and well and enjoying the glorious weather.

This week’s Home Learning pack is attached. Although we are continuing to use Oak Academy for our main learning, we have put together some other learning activities for you in the same style we used at the start of our home learning. We know some people have experienced issues accessing Oak Academy, or have limited internet access, so hopefully this will be useful for you. Mrs Hall is particularly keen to try out the Roman mosaic activity.

We will continue to set up zoom drop ins, to offer help and support with any aspect of the learning, as well as the class catch ups, which both Mr Houghton and Mrs Hall look forward to. Mrs Hall will continue to oversee both classes on dojo, answering messages, marking work and awarding dojo points, while Mr Houghton is teaching. Keep uploading your work as we love to see it.

Stay safe.

Home Learning 8th June

Hello Year 3

We hope this message finds you safe and well.

Please find enclosed your learning pack for this week.

Many of you have reported to us that you face difficulties in accessing the Oak National Academy website. In order to help with this, we have created some learning packs that match the topics being taught on the Oak Academy and will release them here on the class website and dojo throughout the week.

Please keep uploading your work as we love to see it

Many thanks

As you may be aware, school is open next week for a number of year groups and this will mean a change in both our roles and responsibilities, however Year Three will still be our priority.

Whilst Mr Houghton will be in school daily, looking after the children of key workers, Mrs Hall will be responsible for the learning in Year 3, including looking after the class website and ClassDojo’s for both Rowan and Chestnut.  We would like you to continue to upload your work and messages as usual, as we love to see all the fantastic work and creative activities you do. Mrs Hall will then be on hand to look at work, award Dojo points as well as answer any questions and queries you may have.  Mr Houghton is keen to keep in touch with Chestnuts, so messages specifically for him will be passed on, alongside updates of news and work.  I’m sure, when time allows,  Mr Houghton will post his own updates and messages.

We hope you are all staying safe and well and we look forward to the day when we can all be back together again.

Many Thanks

The Year Three Team

Summer Half-Term Fun Activities

Hello everyone!

We cannot believe it is half-term already, five weeks have just flown by – we hope you all enjoy the break.

We are not setting any home learning for this week, so you have time to relax and enjoy this time with family.  However, if you are struggling for ideas to entertain everyone after so long at home, we have put together a small pack of fun activities for you to try. We’d still love to see your pictures, so please continue to send them in to your ClassDojo portfolio.

Home Learning w/c 18th May 2020

We hope you all had a lovely weekend. Last week we loved seeing all your VE Day pictures – thank you for sharing!  We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all your lovely learning on ClassDojo, it puts a big smile on our faces – thank you!

Our home learning this week changes slightly as we move over to use the Oak National Academy website for much of our learning.  Hopefully everything will continue to be self explanatory, but if you have any questions please contact us via the ClassDojo for support. We have also included an Oxford Owls eBooks – How to Guide to help you access their free eBooks library.

We hope you enjoy the new learning in this pack and we look forward to seeing everything you share on ClassDojo.
