We took part in a drama workshop. We became different characters from Stormbreaker. We thought about our movement, bodies and faces. Then, we thought of vocabulary linked to these which could help us in our writing.

We have had another excellent week in school; the children have been learning about reading and drawing line graphs, learning about India and the British Empire and writing poems in English.

This week we were able to celebrate:

This term Year 5 have been learning all about space. Here are just some of the fun things we have been doing:

 

We have made a scaled down model of the universe using vegetables and toilet roll!

We have also thought about why we have day and night as well as why the seasons change.

 

We have made the phases of the moon out of Oreos!

We have had a visit from the astrodome! (This was one of the children’s favourites!)

Term 3 Overview

For the first time ever 100% of children read and we won the KS2 trophy, very well deserved Willow! We not only won the KS2 Buster’s Book Club trophy but St Nicholas Bear will also be spending a week in Willow Class for an improved attitude to reading. Well done Willow class!
