HOMEWORK

Alliteration worksheet has been given to the children.

Fire safety

We were really lucky to have Kent Fire and Rescue Service visit the school at the beginning of term.

The children learnt about the role of a fire fighter, we saw what protective clothing they have to wear and how they keep safe.

We also learnt some rhymes to help keep us safe…

Matches, lighters

never touch

They can hurt you

very much

We also learnt that every week we should check our smoke detectors, so that when we are sleeping they can be our eyes and our noses and detect fire for us!

Keep your family safe from harm

Have a working smoke alarm

Term 2 Week 1

Max Covington – Birch

Great attitude to learning and beautiful handwriting

Homework has been assigned this week on Mathletics.  There are four tasks to complete on Place Value, involving more than and less than.

Year 4 have reviewed their topic of Fashion and shared their hard work and creations with a catwalk display during today’s celebration assembly.

Boogie Bounce was great fun for all the children.  It certainly took some energy to keep bouncing for 20

minutes!

Friday Reading Mornings

Thank you to the all the parents that came and joined us this morning to share a story with the children, it was a very successful first session and we look forward to you joining us again next week. The children all enjoyed having you join us and described it as a special time! Here are a few pictures to share with you

Days of the week

We have been learning the days of the week as part of our Mental Maths lessons this week.

Can you remember the song and use it to help you remember which day comes next?

Have fun with this game too….
