We had a very busy December getting ready for Christmas and then enjoying all the Christmas celebrations. Some of the activities we did over Christmas were: decorating biscuits, Christmas parties, Nativity, Christmas dinner and Christmas jumper day.
Last term we were able to participate in a range of science investigations. We learnt about predictions and how to record our results. At the end of term, we investigated ‘What would happen to milk when it gets colder?’ We found out that it turned into ice-cream and we were then able to eat it all up.
The children have all made a fantastic start to Year 1.

At the end of last term, we invited our parents, carers and grandparents in to share the toys they played with when they were children. All the children had lots of learning about toys from the past.
This term, Year 1 have been busy learning about toys. All the children were able to go over to the Old School House to play with the Victorian toys and experience a Victorian classroom. Everyone had lots of fun on this trip!
We have been busy this term doing lots of exciting learning. We have been over the Art Studio and have even had a go on the laptops! In Art, we have been learning about different colour, looking at primary and secondary colours. Whilst in Computing we have learnt our username and how to log on and then we have started to explore paint.
