Today, Year 2 were lucky enough to part of their very own ‘Great Fire of London’.
We created our own streets, then Mr Leech helped us to set fire to it. We made sure the houses were too close together just like the real one!
“Learning, loving and encouraging through Christ.”
Year 2 shared their learning with their parents. They were able to speak about the knowledge they had gained but also how we had developed many skills across the curriculum.
We ended our celebration with our own rendition of ‘London’s Burning’ which was led by the children and sung as a round.
Well done Year 2!
Please find attached our learning overview for this half term. Our overall theme continues to be ‘Fire, Fire!’
On Wednesday 2nd October, year 2 enjoyed a fun afternoon at ‘The Marsh Academy’ where they took part in a variety of games relating to speed stacking. The afternoon was led by Year 10 students and involved different skills and competitions. One of our teams were lucky enough to win a silver medal.
