This week children will continue to learn about Hinduism. They will specifically look at the story of Rama and Sita. Information about the story is included as well as a play and face masks. This will enable the children to act out the story. The plays are differentiated between 1 and 3 stars, with one being the most basic etc.

French

Art/DT

Children will be given the opportunity to make their own volcanoes, complete with eruption. Though there are only details explaining how to make the eruption. A bottle layered with paper mâché can be painted once dry.thumbnail of Make-Your-Own-Volcano

Science

Learn about the properties of solids, liquids and gases in this colourful comic aimed at students in Key Stage Two. Written to promote enquiry skills, it contains a linked investigation which focuses on planning and evaluating evidence when investigating how to create the best geyser.

In this episode Selenia creates a wormhole by using the energy of a geyser. She wants to show her friends what a geyser looks like and needs help.

Notes provide a link from the comic to the investigation and include an explanation of geysers and how they are created. There is also extension opportunities, equipment list and a planning sheet and flash cards the properties of solids, liquids and gases.
