Home Learning Set 29.09.17

A very big well done to all of the children who created their presentations on the Solar System. We have created a display in the corridor and it is looking good. We’ll add the final few pieces of work to it next week and then we will post a picture.

This week’s Home Learning:

1) Learn the 10 spellings for a test on Weds (Unless you have Fresh Start homework!)

accident(ally)
actual(ly)
address
answer
appear
arrive
believe
bicycle
breath
breathe

Due: Weds 4th Oct

2) We would love you to create a presentation on a Tourist Attraction of your choice. What makes it a good tourist attraction? What facilities are there? Why would you choose to go there? Again, the presentation can take any form you choose and you have 2 weeks to complete this task! 🙂

Due: Thursday 12th October (as we are in London on the Weds!)

Commonwealth Day

Yesterday a selection of Year Six pupils celebrated Commonwealth Day with the Mayor and other members of our local community. They read out poems relating to commonwealth and thought about what being a part of the Commonwealth meant to them. They behaved wonderfully and even the Mayor commented on both their behaviour and confidence when reading to an audience.
Fantastic Year Six!

Science Week 2017

Next week is British Science Week 2017! The Year 6 Staff are planning a range of exciting investigations for each day of the week! Keep a look out for the pictures on here!

Remember you have no spellings to learn this week. We would like you find out and produce either a poster or biography on a famous scientist of your choice!
