Year 6 enjoyed their visit to church to celebrate St. Nicholas Day on 6th December. There we sang ‘When Santa Go Stuck Up the Chimney’ and learned more about the history of St. Nicholas. A child Bishop was also selected.

This week we congratulate Georgie for her fantastic reading; she reads regularly and challenges herself with what she reads. She perseveres through books too.

Fraser has worked really hard on Reading Plus this week – well done!
The children explored how to make shadows bigger and smaller. They also investigated what happens when opaque, translucent and transparent objects are used.
Year 6 enjoyed writing poetry based on World War II. The children looked at lots of different examples of poems from different wars for inspiration.
Well done to Tilly for some excellent maths work this week. She has demonstrated a super understanding of multiplying and dividing fractions.

This week our reader of the week was Joshua. He has been reading to some of the younger children at after school club which is very commendable! Well done Josh!

Josh received our ‘one kind word’ award for being an outstanding friend and secret angel this week.
Elm also won the TTRS trophy!
Henley was awarded the Star of the Week award for really knuckling down with all his assessments.
