French Café

This term, the children have been learning French words for a variety of different foods and practising how order food in a French restaurant. Today, they ran a French Café for family and friends.

They sent out invitations a couple of weeks ago, created menus and practised their scripts. The customers had phonetic order guides to help them speak French to ‘Les Serveurs’ and ask for their food.

Café L’Hêtre et Le Bouleau est ouvert à 14 heures

French accordion music played as our guests dined in our café, the French flag, le tricolore (bleu, blanc, rouge), decorated the walls in patriotic French style. The children and families had a wonderful time, trying out their French and eating together.
