Friday 11th November
Dear Badger and Otter Parents and Carers,
We have had a busy start to Term Two, and the children have already produced some excellent work.
This term, as you know, we are reading the Jolly Postman. All of our literacy work is based on the story and over the last two weeks we have enjoyed learning how to write letter and postcards with descriptions and questions.
To make our learning fun and exciting it seemed right to include the opportunity to send real letters through the post!
On Tuesday 15th November we will be taking the children to post their very own letters in the letterbox in New Romney. We ask that on this day the children have a waterproof coat and sensible shoes – please provide wellies or boots if it is as wet as it has been this week!
Please record when the letter arrives at your house so that we can plot who’s arrives first!
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Kind Regards
Miss Common, Miss Neilly and the Year One Team
